OPEN POSITIONS FOR NOMINATIONS: Treasurer: (2- year term) - The Treasurer oversees the Society’s funds and reports on the financial condition of the Society at all meetings of the Board of Directors and at other times when called upon by the President. The Treasurer also serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee during his/her tenure in this position. CRITERIA FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS CANDIDATES: o Must be an active WIDGBC member at time of nomination. o Previous service on a WIDGBC or similar committee, council, or task force or equivalent, desired o Officers and Committee Chairs must declare any volunteer roles with other associations and societies INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING NOMINATIONS: All active WIDGBC members are eligible for nomination for any open positions, including the ladder to Presidency. All letters of nomination should be addressed to: WIDGBC Secretary Kristina Landers (Kristina.cleverdon@baesystems.us). The ideal nomination will: 1. Include a letter stating the full name of the candidate, the position for which they are being nominated and address the following topics as appropriate: o Respect in the profession o Effective leadership o Reputation for strategic thinking o Ability to promote WID-GBC organizational goals and broadly represent the WIDGBC membership o Any other pertinent information. 2. Include a current resume 3. For other than self-nomination: State how the author knows the applicant and why the applicant is a strong candidate for the position.
